Obituary for Philip Damion DeRobbio
Philip Damion DeRobbio, 43, passed away March 21, 2023 at his residence in Poland, Ohio.
Damion was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. on March 29, 1979. His father Philip Anthony DeRobbio and step-mother, Susan A. DeRobbio survive in New Castle. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Caitlyn Gill DeRobbio.
He owned and operated Alley Cat Guide Services which organized and directed Steelhead & Muskie fishing trips.
Damion was awarded the Carnegie Hero Award for saving a girl from a housefire in 2004. He was an avid fisherman and a member of the Steelhead Valley Fishing club. He raised and bred reptiles, lizards and snakes. Damion liked music and enjoyed playing the guitar. A loving father, Damion enjoyed time with his children and was very active in their upbringing.
In addition to his father and step-mother, Damion is survived by his children, Donovan DeRobbio, Isabella DeRobbio, Julian DeRobbio, and Hunter DeRobbio, his brother, Patrick DeStefano and also survived by his former wife, Sophia Deckant DeRobbio.
