Obituary for Margaret V. Colucci (Donofrio)
Margaret V. Colucci, 101, passed away the morning of February 4, 2023 at Jameson Care Center.
Born on August 26, 1921 in New Castle, Margaret was the daughter of the late John and Anna Ross Donofrio.
She married her beloved husband, Frank Colucci on December 2, 1942. He preceded her in death on July 3, 2015.
Margaret was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, painting and playing bingo. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Margaret’s greatest joy was the time she spent with her family.
Margaret is survived by her children, Marilyn Polansky (Don) of New Middletown, OH, Frank P. Colucci (Marilyn) of The Villages, FL and Diane Coyne (Larry) of New Castle, her brother, Edward Donofrio of New Castle, four grandchildren, David Colucci, Melissa Miller, John Polansky and fiancé, Nancy and Yvonne Fife, three great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by her brother, John Donofrio, Jr., two sisters, Viola Donofrio Hare and Anita DeCarlo and her granddaughter, Leslie Colucci Sparano.
Visitation will be on Monday 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road.
A procession will leave the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. for A Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church. Father Aaron Kriss will officiate.
Entombment will be in Parkside Mausoleum.
