Obituary for David G. Mele
David G. Mele, 76, of New Castle, passed away on the evening of May 17, 2023 at UPMC Jameson.
Born on October 1, 1946 in New Castle David was the son of the late Felix and Anna Morelli Mele.
On May 12,1973 David married his wife the former Rita Blazak. She survives at home.
David was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Mary’s church. He worked in construction and was a truck driver for RoMed Inc. & West Penn Asphalt. He was a member of Teamsters Local #261. David was an avid sports fan of all the Pittsburgh teams. He was a member of The Sons of Italy, Duca Degli Abruzzi.
In addition to his wife, David is survived by two daughters, Ria Mele of New Castle, Renee (Ken) Croisetiere of Gainsville, Virginia, one brother Gary Mele (Patti) of Mississippi, two sisters, Mary Lou (James) Lombardo of Gibsonia, Pa and Bonnie (Richard) Scungio of Maryland, two grandchildren, Colton and Caroline Croistiere.
Family and Friends will meet on Friday May 26, 2023 at Holy Spirt Parish, St. Vitus Church for a Mass of Christian Burial 11 :00 a.m. Father Aaron Kriss will officiate.
Burial will be in Parkside Cemetery.
