Obituary for Bessie L. Recupio
Bessie L. Recupio, 103, of New Castle passed away the afternoon of January 15, 2023 at Haven Convalescent Home.
Born on March 8, 1919 in New Castle, Bessie was the daughter of the late Peter and Louise Conti Recupio.
Bessie had worked as a machine operator for Johnson Bronze until she retired after thirty-three years.
She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church.
Bessie was an avid Bingo player. She was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles-Golden Age Club.
Bessie is survived by several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Bessie was preceded in death by two brothers, Anthony and Ralph Recupio and two sisters, Antoinetta Ciambotti and Sadie Recupio.
Visitation will be on Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 S. Mill St.
A Blessing Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Deacon Dr. Joseph Ross of Divine Grace Parish will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
