Obituary for Angelo R. Burrelli

Angelo R. Burrelli, 88, of Neshannock Township passed away on May 5, 2023 at UPMC Jameson.

Born on October 31, 1934 in New Castle, Angelo was the son of the late John and Mary Perone Burelli.

Angelo is survived by his beloved wife the former Beverly Micco .

Angelo had owned and operated a used car dealership for many years.

He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church.

Angelo was a graduate of New Castle Senior High School. He was New Castle High’s two- way starter on the offensive and defensive lines for the Red Hurricanes. After High School, Angelo accepted a full scholarship to play football at the University of Kentucky for legendary college football coach Paul “Bear” Bryant. At 79 years old he was entered into the Lawrence County Historical Society Sports Hall of Fame.
Angelo enjoyed traveling, visiting casinos and smoking a good cigar. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather his greatest joy was the time he spent with family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Angelo is survived by his five children, Angelo Burrelli, Jr. (Francis), Chris Burrelli (Shannon), Mark Burrelli (Julie), Johnny Burrelli (Lisa), and LaMar Uber (Judy), six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Angelo was preceded in death by five brothers, one sister and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Wednesday 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road.

A Blessing service will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home at 6:00 p.m. Deacon John Carran will officiate.
